My Favorite Coffee Essentials
Ingredients
Espresso beans — or pre-ground espresso/coffee of choice — [enough to make a double shot]
1 teaspoon of culinary lavender flowers
6 ounces of oat milk
Sweetener, to taste
The Steps
Grab your mug of choice and add your sweetener of choice. I personally prefer sugar and typically do about 10-12 grams or 3 spoons [I love a good, sweet cup of coffee, but not too sweet].
Grab your espresso beans [or pre-ground coffee/espresso if you so choose]. Dole out enough to make a double shot and then add it to your coffee grinder. Be sure to add your teaspoon of dried culinary lavender flowers. Then grind the beans and lavender together.
Add your espresso beans/lavender mix to your espresso machine and prepare your double shot. Then, add it to your mug.
Pour out your 6 ounce of oat milk into your milk frothing cup and steam the milk. My espresso machine [listed above or you can click here for it] has a steamer attached. It’s a game changer and has forever changed how I drink and make coffee.
Once your milk is steamed, add it to your mug and give it a stir.
That’s it! Enjoy your Lavender & Oat Milk Espresso Latte.
If you find that the taste of lavender is too strong or too weak for your preference, simply adjust by adding in or removing some lavender. You can also offset this by adding more oat milk.
